Our project aims to transform the lives of those with sleep disorders, starting locally in Colorado and expanding nationally. We're committed to speeding up diagnosis and support, inspired by organizations like Narcolepsy Network.

A LETTER FROM CHIP WERNIG

We'd like to take a moment to draw your attention to a project that we are deeply passionate about - The Sleep Disorders Project. Our goal with this initiative is to increase awareness among high school students about what sleep disorders look like, with a particular focus on Narcolepsy and Idiopathic Hypersomnia. As parents of two daughters, Christen and Megan, who have sleep disorders, Peggy and I are committed to educating others about these conditions based on our personal experiences.

Sleep disorders can have a significant impact on an individual's quality of life, and it's essential that we recognize the symptoms and provide support to those affected. Through The Sleep Disorders Project, we hope to create a more supportive and inclusive community that is better equipped to identify and support individuals with Narcolepsy and Idiopathic Hypersomnia. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our project, and we look forward to sharing more information with you.

-Chip Wernig

Thirty seven percent of undiagnosed students with Narcolepsy have reported that they have failed classes in High School because of their sleep disorder.
